When the product’s life span ends, the subsequent disposing means often leads to the emission of carbon dioxide, especially for the remaining plastic packaging.
In the process of combustion and decomposing for plastics, carbon dioxide will be emitted. The combustion or decomposing of biological based plastic emits carbon dioxide, however the emission is carbon neutral, which will not add the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The combustion or decomposing of petroleum based product leads to the emission of carbon dioxide, which is a positive emission and leads to the addition of overall carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Hence utilization of biological based product to replace petroleum based product leads to the reduction of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
The pushing of the production and utilization of biological based product can greatly reduce the reliance on petroleum, and decrease the high intensity pollution emission due to the employment of fossile energy.
The rise of biological based industry can exactly meet the demand of developing green, environmental friendly and sustainable economy.
There are more and more people who pursue low carbon and environmental friendly life. The utilization of biological based products made of renewable materials is more and more favored by consumers.
In April 2019, Accenture used to survey 6000 consumers from North America, Europe and Asia, to learn their purchasing and consuming habit on products with packing made of different materials. The result showed that 72% of respondents expressed that compared with 5 years ago, they were now actively purchasing more environmental friendly products, 81% of respondents revealed that they would buy more product of such kind in the coming 5 years.

Under the backdrop of the increasing scarcity of global oil resources, global warming and other intensifying issues, biological based products set foot on development and utilization of renewable resources, develop sustainable and environmental friendly “green economy”， reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and alleviate greenhouse effect, replace petrochemical resource to introduce biological based products to enter into the daily life of common people.
Through imagining the future, the sky is still blue, the temperature is no longer soaring, and the flood is not overwhelming. All this starts with the use of biological based products!
