Biological based product-the preference of environmentalists

There are more and more people who pursue low carbon and environmental friendly life. The utilization of biological based products made of renewable materials is more and more favored by consumers.

Uniliver’s one survey in 2017 indicates that 33% of consumers choose the commodities which are good to society or environment. The study has enquired 2000 adults from 5 countries, among them, over one fifth (21%) of respondents expressed that they will actively choose to buy this type of products if sustainable certificate such as USDA mark can be displayed explicitly on the product packaging or during the marketing of products.

In April 2019, Accenture used to survey 6000 consumers from North America, Europe and Asia, to learn their purchasing and consuming habit on products with packing made of different materials. The result showed that 72% of respondents expressed that compared with 5 years ago, they were now actively purchasing more environmental friendly products, 81% of respondents revealed that they would buy more product of such kind in the coming 5 years.

According to the 2019 Global Climate Statement released by UN and WMO, 2019 is the second hottest year on record, and the past 10 years have been the hottest 10 years on record.

The fire in Australia in 2019 and the epidemic in 2020 have alerted mankind and have people start to reflect.

We started to notice the chain reaction brought by global warming, including melting of glaciers, droughts and flood disasters, the surviving of animals faces huge threats, human health is greatly impacted.......

Hence, more and more consumers start to explore a living style which is more low carbon and environmental friendly so as to slow down the pace of global warming! That is to turn to the utilization of biological based products!
